Closer Than You Think
2025 IMPACT REPORT
Fiscal Year 2025 by the Numbers
Friend of the Red Tab Foundation,
No matter where you work within the LS&Co. family—whether it's a bustling retail floor in Bangkok or headquarters in San Francisco—help has never been closer when needed most.
After two years of unprecedented need, grant requests returned to a more typical level, giving us the chance to focus on what really matters: making sure RTF has the reach and resources to support the DTC-first workforce shaping LS&Co.’s future. As the company navigates major transformations, our support for employees past and present remains steady, making us a vital resource for the LS&Co. community. Last year, we worked to strengthen program guardrails and our referral network, while we also streamlined our processes. All this was to ensure that your contributions created maximum impact—helping colleagues, while connecting them to additional resources that extend support beyond our grants.

The stories in this report span continents yet feel remarkably personal: Rita in San Francisco, whose daughter's cancer recovery inspired a future in mental health care. Bruno in Chile, the engineering student whose home was saved, preserving his bright academic future. Vanessa in South Africa, caring for ten family members while driving excellence at our Epping factory. Each story shows how the compassionate support from RTF is always within reach, no matter where home is.
In a challenging year, supporters donated, volunteered and championed RTF. This spirit of "employees helping employees" proves that empathy and care travel instantly across any border, no matter the distance.
Thank you for your unwavering support of our LS&Co. family.
With gratitude,
Jenny, John & Pete

RTF is a public, nonprofit foundation that assists LS&Co. employees, retirees and their families facing unexpected financial hardships. RTF provides financial assistance, education, and preventative programs to help these individuals in their efforts to maintain their financial, physical and emotional health.
Our Mission
Our Grantees: Engineering a Brighter Future
Bruno is a multi-faceted problem solver: by day as an engineering student, and by night as a Stylist in Chile. When his mother lost her job last year, leading to the family falling months behind on tuition and mortgage payments and facing foreclosure, Bruno's dreams hung in the balance. "It represents stability and security for us," Bruno explained about their longtime home. Thanks to an RTF grant, foreclosure proceedings were halted and Bruno's family kept their home. Now, Bruno continues his engineering coursework while rocking his career in retail, proof that the grant wasn’t about just saving his childhood home, but about allowing his ambition to continue flourishing. 14% of all RTF grants are for housing and critical overdue household bills that families need support with.

Where We Help
Our Grantees: Turning Emergencies Into Stories of Hope
Rita Bocanegra, a Garment Developer at Levi’s HQ in San Francisco, faced every parent's nightmare when her 16-year-old daughter suddenly developed severe back pain that led to a trip to the ER. Doctors discovered a massive tumor in her daughter's pancreas, requiring immediate surgery that left her with only half of the critical organ. As a single mother of three, Rita knew she needed to take time off to support her daughter's recovery but was concerned about the financial impact. Her supervisor suggested reaching out to RTF. The grant she received the next week provided crucial support for her daughter's medical needs, and allowed Rita to focus on caregiving instead of making ends meet. Now her daughter is not only graduating high school but has chosen psychology as her calling—determined to help others navigate their own darkest moments. 13% of RTF’s grants last year were to support emergency medical situations..
From Our Grantees
Tanapon: When Nature Strikes
-
For Tanapon, a Levi's Stylist in Thailand, relentless summer storms brought heartbreak, flooding her kitchen repeatedly until the ceiling finally collapsed, leaving her family without a safe place to cook or gather. With help from RTF, she was able to restore her home. “Thank you from my heart. It was my first time receiving help, and I was able to restore my home without having to take out debt that will negatively affect my future,” Tanapon told us. RTF helped 210 colleagues with natural disasters last year, totaling 10% of support delivered.
Tevrin: Keeping Families Together
-
Tevrin, a longtime former Levi's employee in Kentucky, didn't hesitate when she learned her 15-month-old granddaughter Jayla was about to enter the foster care system. Her son was being evicted from his home in Philadelphia and having struggles that left him unable to care for little Jayla. Tevrin, who was recovering from lung surgery, immediately got in her car and made the multiple-day journey to bring her granddaughter home. "I had to go get her so she wouldn’t end up in the system. There was no one to help me except for the Red Tab Foundation," Tevrin explained. RTF offered Tevrin with a small grant to provide essential support for diapers, baby food, and other necessities during this unexpected transition. RTF offered grants to 372 retireed longtime LS&Co. employees through their hardships last year.
Vanessa: How We Support Everyday Heroes
-
a. Vanessa operates machinery with precision at LS&Co.’s South Africa manufacturing facility, but her most demanding work happens at home. As the backbone financially supporting ten family members, Vanessa transformed her house into a care center when her nephew Jayden was a victim of gun violence, leaving him partially paralyzed. She gave up her own bed for his recovery, sleeping on the couch while managing his round-the-clock care needs. After working to help so many in her family, she turned to Red Tab Foundation when she herself needed help lightening her burden. Our South Africa Case Manager provided a listening ear and quickly zeroed in on her qualifying needs. Vanessa received a grant to help with supplies at home for Jayden’s care, but that was just the beginning. Red Tab Foundation also prevented her water disconnection and supported care for Vanessa’s mother, battling tuberculosis. Last year, RTF supported 299 grantees in South Africa, many of whom are based in the manufacturing facility there.
96% of employee grantees were retail, distribution or manufacturing employees.
Our Grants Given
Safety Nets Built by Red Tab Savers
The Red Tab Savers program is a matched savings offering available to US & Canada retail and distribution employees, that allows employees to build their own financial safety nets and build the muscle of saving. We onboarded 182 Savers this year, but temporarily paused Savers in the US due to program updates, and expect the program to return in early 2026.
The Year Ahead
Stay close to the rapidly changing needs of our grantees
RTF's strength isn't just in our 44-year history, but in our ability to evolve quickly. New roles, new markets, new pressures - but the same need for a safety net when life hits hard. We study emerging patterns, adjust our guidelines, and ensure that our help feels relevant to grantee needs.
Be a source of connection, fun, and pride
RTF is just one example of what makes LS&Co.’s company culture special. Through storytelling, events, and volunteering opportunities, we help employees feel proud to be part of an organization where people genuinely care for one another.
Be human where it matters most; leverage technology to drive scale
We’re investing in systems and processes to handle administrative work, freeing our team to do drive forward our goals and do what technology can't: listen to a panicked parent, brainstorm solutions with a struggling retiree, or simply be a caring voice when someone feels completely alone.

Tom Fanoe: The Exec Who Never Retired from Caring
-
We bid farewell to Tom Fanoe, longtime RTF board member and former LS&Co. president, who passed away in June 2025. Tom was more than a champion for RTF—he was at the heart of our mission, bringing infectious enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to nearly 20 years of board service. With his signature wit and deep relationships, Tom became our most effective ambassador to the LS&Co. executive retiree community. His efforts raised over $1 million for RTF clients while providing strategic insight that positioned our foundation for long-term success. Tom's legacy will continue to live on in every grantee that we help.
More Than Money: Demetrious' Volunteer Spirit
-
Demetrious, a Sales Operations Manager in LS&Co.’s New York sales office, proves that supporting RTF extends far beyond donations. In his spare time, he organizes sample sales whose proceeds benefit the foundation, fueled by his passion for giving back. “When I worked as an associate for another retailer, I never felt this level of care extend from corporate down to the store level. I honestly just feel blessed and honored to be able to be able to help support this work.” Last year, the Red Tab Foundation raised over $500k from sample sales globally, hosted by dedicated colleagues around the world to power our work.
