Friend of the Red Tab Foundation,

No matter where you work within the LS&Co. family, whether it's a bustling retail floor in Bangkok or headquarters in San Francisco, help has never been closer when needed most.

After two years of unprecedented need, grant requests returned to a more typical level this year at $2.3M, giving us the chance to focus on what really matters: making sure Red Tab Foundation (RTF) has the reach to support the rapidly growing retail-first workforce that is shaping LS&Co.’s future. And we did it more efficiently, spending nearly 20% less while reaching 14% more people than last year. As the company continues to change and evolve, our support for employees past and present has remained steady, making us a vital resource for the LS&Co. community for the past 44 years. We have worked hard to promote RTF’s offerings as a global organization, and it’s paying off with our number of international grantees growing, especially in Asia. Last year, we strengthened program guardrails and our referral network, as well as streamlined our processes, to ensure your contributions created maximum impact.

The stories in this report span continents yet feel remarkably personal: Rita in San Francisco, whose daughter's cancer recovery inspired a future in mental health care. Bruno in Chile, the engineering student whose home was saved. Vanessa in South Africa, caring for ten family members while driving excellence at work, sewing our jeans. Each story shows how the compassionate support from RTF is always within reach, no matter where home is.

Thank you for your unwavering support of our LS&Co. family.

With Gratitude,
Jenny, John & Pete

RTF is a public, nonprofit foundation that assists LS&Co. employees, retirees and their families facing unexpected financial hardships. RTF provides financial assistance, education, and preventative programs to help these individuals in their efforts to maintain their financial, physical and emotional health.

Our Grantees: Engineering a Brighter Future

Bruno is a problem solver by day as an engineering student, and by night, as a Stylist in Chile. When his mother lost her job last year, causing the family to fall months behind on tuition and mortgage payments and facing foreclosure, Bruno's dreams hung in the balance. “The possibility of losing our home created a lot of emotional stress. Thanks to the Red Tab Foundation, we were able to stay in our house and I could continue my studies. It gave me hope and stability when I needed it most,” Bruno shared. Now, Bruno continues his engineering coursework while rocking his career in retail, proof that the grant wasn’t about just saving his childhood home, but also allowing his ambition to flourish. 21% of all RTF grants support housing and critical household bills for families.

Our Grantees: From Emergencies to Stories of Hope

Rita Bocanegra, a Garment Developer at LS&Co. HQ in San Francisco, faced every parent's nightmare when her 16-year-old daughter suddenly developed severe back pain that led to a trip to the emergency room. Doctors discovered a massive tumor in her daughter's pancreas, requiring immediate surgery. As a single mother of three, Rita knew she needed to take time off to support her daughter's recovery, but was concerned about the financial impact. Her supervisor suggested reaching out to RTF. The grant she received the next week provided crucial support for her daughter's medical needs, allowing Rita to focus on caregiving instead of making ends meet. Now her daughter is not only graduating high school but has chosen psychology as her calling—determined to help others navigate their own darkest moments. 14% of RTF’s grants last year were to support emergency medical situations.

Never Alone in a Crisis

“When I found myself with no means to cover my expenses and felt unsure how to move forward, your generosity became my lifeline. It wasn't just the financial support that made the difference, but the compassion and care behind it that truly touched my heart and reminded me that I wasn't alone. RTF believed in me during my time of greatest need.”

The Year Ahead

Stay close to the rapidly changing needs of our grantees

RTF's strength isn't just in our 44-year history, but in our ability to evolve quickly. As our company undergoes its transformation, the need for a safety net remains for our employees.  We study emerging patterns and adjust our guidelines appropriately to ensure that our work remains relevant and timely.

Be a source of connection and pride

RTF is just one example of what makes LS&Co.’s company culture special. Through storytelling, events, and volunteering opportunities, we help employees feel proud to be part of an organization where people genuinely care for one another.

Be human where it matters most; leverage technology to drive scale

We’re investing in systems and processes to handle administrative work, freeing up our team to drive forward our goals and do what technology can't: listen to a panicked parent, brainstorm solutions with a struggling retiree, or simply be a listening ear when someone feels completely alone.
