The Red Tab Foundation provides emergency financial aid to emplyoees and retirees throughout the world. Grants are typically provided following a recent, unexpected financial emergency that threatens their ability to provide basic necessities of life. Since 2008, grants have gone to employees in Poland, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Hungary, Japan, Germany, Russia, Turkey, South Africa, Phillipines and the United States.

RTF's retiree program, which assists thousands of LS&Co. retirees living on modest, fixed incomes, provides basic necessities to those who cannot afford them. Eyeglasses, hearing aids, critical dental work, and emergency home repairs needed for health and safety purposes are the most common retiree requests.
