The Red Tab Foundation (RTF) is a unique nonprofit organization that assists Levi Strauss & Co. employees and retirees who are unable to pay for life’s basic necessities due to unexpected financial emergencies. The RTF also provides education and proactive programs to help individuals maintain their financial, physical, and emotional health.
Founded in 1981 by Jerry O’Shea, a former marketing executive, the Red Tab Foundation and Jerry’s mission continue to thrive today. The Foundation received national attention for its programs when it was featured in a National Public Radio broadcast regarding innovative services for hourly wage earners.
